KATHMANDU: Rastriya Prajatantra Party Chair Rajendra Prasad Lingden has stated that activities centered on individuals, parties, and power will not bring stability to the country.

On the occasion of Ram Navami, he paid a visit to the Ram Mandir at Battisputli in Kathmandu on Thursday and stated that activities centered on individuals, parties, and power have increased in the country. He clarified that, while the government must be stable in order for the country to be stable, immediate stability is not possible.

He stated that there are signs that the country is becoming more unstable. Chair Lingden stated that there is no alternative to everyone working together to bring stability to the country.

He claimed that the government is attempting to avoid responsibility for cultural heritage protection and warned that the government will not tolerate its responsibilities.

“Whether we are in the government or not is a matter of detail,” he said, “but it is necessary to have a stable government for peace and stability in the country.” But the kind of trend that is developing now, the activities centered on individuals, parties and power are increasing rapidly. With that, immediate stability cannot be imagined.’

There are signs that the country is becoming more unstable. We should all work together to advance peace, stability, and development. Previously, the government had reduced the number of Ram Navami holidays. Despite the fact that we have a limited time in office, the government has decided to institute public holidays beginning next year. Ram Navami is also a public holiday in 2080. For many years, the government has attempted to avoid its responsibility rather than protect religious institutions. This is simply unacceptable. The government should prioritize responsibility for this.’

Chair Lingden also stated that when he was in government, he decided to make Ram Navami a public holiday beginning in 2080.
