KATHMANDU: The stock market rose on Tuesday, the third trading day of the week. The NEPSE index increased 12.10 points to 1918.10 points.

Previously, the stock market rose in Monday trading as well. On the same day, the NEPSE index increased by 17.70 points to 1906 points.

On Tuesday, 4 million 77 thousand 778 shares of 258 companies were purchased and sold on the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE).

The NEPSE index has risen by 142 points. 64 companies declined, while 7 remained stable.

More than 6 crore 15 lakh rupees have been transacted through the said insurance. Himalaya Distillery came in second place on Tuesday.

On Monday, all 13 sub-indices increased except for development bank, finance, and non-life insurance. Microfinance has grown the most (3.48%), followed by mutual funds (2.53%).

Today, 10 percent shares of Super Mai Hydropower Company, Shrijanshil Laghubitta and Asian Hydropower have been traded. These companies have earned the most.
