KATHMANDU: The meter badge victims have reached near the Prime Minister’s residence, Baluwatar. They arrived in Kathmandu on Monday on the 12th day by walking from Bardibas and reached Baluwatar in the morning.

The police stopped them in Bhatbhateni, where they were planning a protest and dharna outside the residence.

Despite numerous assurances from the government, no action has been taken against meter badge, and they have not received justice, but they are now adamant that they will not return home until the problem is resolved.

They are sitting on the side of the road, yelling slogans demanding justice. They’ve chanted slogans like “abolish the Tamsuk system,” “prosecute meter-busters,” “return our confiscated property,” “enact a law against meter-busters,” and so on.

The Kathmandu Metropolitan City police stopped meter interest victims from entering the open forum on Monday. They claimed that the vehicle transporting their rations was also seized by police and returned only late at night.
