Tensions between victim of meter-badge victims & police in front of Khulla Manch

KATHMANDU: The meter badge victims, who arrived at Khulla Manch Gate on the 12th day after walking from Bardibas in Mahottari, have been at odds with the city police of Kathmandu.
The meter badge victims became agitated after the municipality deployed city police and refused to allow them to enter the open platform for the protest.
The victims of the meter badge are now seated in front of the Khulla Manch.
They requesting the municipality to unlock the Khulla Manch and allow them to enter.
Several political parties and party organizations have also come out in support of the victims.
According to reports, the victim will sit in the open for a few days before returning after decisive talks with the government.
They are raising slogans against Kathmandu Mayor Balendra Shah, claiming that despite being of Madhesi origin, he does not understand Madhesi feelings.
They have demanded that Sahu Maharjan, who wears meter badges, be arrested, that Balendra Sah resign, and that justice be served.
