State govt to provide 3 lakh to Padam Limbu’s family
State government spokesperson Bhakti Sitaula stated that the state government has decided to provide 3 lakhs in immediate relief to the deceased's family.
BIRATNAGAR: The Koshi State government has decided to award three lakh rupees to the family of Padam Limbu (Lajehang), who died on March 24 after taking part in a protest program in Biratnagar on March 19 regarding the naming of Koshi State.
State government spokesperson Bhakti Sitaula stated that the state government has decided to provide 3 lakhs in immediate relief to the deceased’s family.
The Council of Ministers has also decided to assist the Government of Nepal’s investigation committee.
The Council of Ministers decided to express gratitude to the Speaker of the State Assembly, Deputy Speaker, Members of the State Assembly, Secretariat of the State Assembly, all political parties represented in the State Assembly, and to congratulate the people of Koshi State at its long-awaited meeting.
Similarly, the Council of Ministers approved two amendment bills submitted by the Ministry of Tourism, Forestry, and Environment for consideration by the State Assembly.
Sitaula stated that permission has been granted to introduce legislation to amend the State Environment Protection Act 2076 and the State Forestry Act 2077.
Likewise, the Chief Minister’s Office and the Council of Ministers have decided to approve the supplementary subsidy procedure amendment proposal submitted by the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Planning.
The meeting delegated to State Secretary Krishna Sapkota the responsibility of Director of the State Training Institute, Kalbalgudi Jhapa, until further arrangements are made.
