Italy’s first victory in European Cup qualifiers

KATHMANDU: Italy has won the first match in the European Cup qualifiers.

Italy won their first victory by beating Malta 2-0 on Sunday night.

Mateo Retegui and Matteo Pessina each scored one goal in Italy’s victory.

Retegui’s goal in the 15th minute of the game gave Italy an early lead.

Then, in the 27th minute of the game, Pesina scored to give Italy a 2-0 victory.

With the victory, Italy now has three points in two games.

Italy is second in Group C.

This is Malta’s second defeat in a row.
