Gandaki State govt announces public holiday on Chaite Dashain
The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Law has announced that the public holiday has been granted by a decision of the Council of Ministers dated 18th Chait 2078 (1 April , 2022).
KATHMANDU: The Gandaki State government has decided to declare a public holiday on Wednesday, Chaith 15 (March 29), to commemorate the Chaite Dashain festival.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Law has announced that the public holiday has been granted by a decision of the Council of Ministers dated 18th Chait 2078 (1 April , 2022).
The state gazette also mentions the holiday. According to Deputy Secretary of the Ministry Chandika Paudal, public holidays are observed in government offices, educational institutions, and public institutes throughout the State.
Every year on Chaitra Shukla Ashtami, Chaite Dashain is celebrated by worshiping Navadurga.
During Chaitrashtami, there is a large crowd at the Shaktipeeth and Devi’s temple.
