Govinda Bhattarai to contest from NC in Tanahun-1

KATHMANDU: The Congress plans to nominate central member Govinda Bhattarai in Tanahun 1, which was vacated after Ram Chandra Poudel, who is a Congress MP, was elected president.

Congress officials meeting held on Saturday agreed to nominate him as a candidate.

He is also the Chair of the NSU and the Vice-Chair of the Nepal Tarun Dal, and he has been elected as a central member three times.

Bhattarai is being considered as the ruling coalition’s common candidate.

It is said that if there is a common candidate, Bhattarai will win easily.
