BIRATNAGAR: Hikmat Kumar Karki, the Chief Minister of the State Government, has stated that he will address some of the concerns raised about the naming.

During the discussion about the effective coordination of the Union State’s local government, as well as the current situation and future strategy of the local government, Karki stated that any disagreements about the name will be resolved through discussion.

He stated that as not everyone agreed on the names of the States, as well as the rights granted by the constitution and the law, the issue would be resolved gradually.

According to him, the issue of financial distribution in federalism is the inverse.

Federalism has moved in the opposite direction, giving 15/15 percent to the state and local levels while keeping 70 percent of revenue distribution that goes to the state and local level’s reserve fund through financial distribution.

He stated that the provincial government and the locals should bear responsibility for the entire development and construction.

The personnel administration structure has done the state a great injustice. Chief Minister Karki has stated that the provincial government should be given the authority to make laws at the local level. This statement by the Chief Minister came at a time when the union was being accused of failing to provide rights.

Shankardas Bairagi, Chief Secretary of the Federal Government, former Chief Justice Kalyan Shrestha, state ministers, MPs, and chief deputy heads of local governments are among those taking part in the program organized by the Nepal Law Society.
