Deuba’s effort to make Basanta Kunwar IGP, phoned Prachanda

KATHMANDU: Sher Bahadur Deuba, the president of Nepali Congress, the largest member of the ruling coalition, has begun working to promote Basanta Bahadur Kunwar to the position of Inspector General of Police (IGP).

Deuba phoned Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ to ask him to appoint Kunwar as IGP, according to a member of the Prime Minister’s Secretariat.
