Nepal’s population reaches 29.1 million 64 thousand 578 (full text)

KATHMANDU: The population of Nepal has been estimated at 291 million 64 thousand 578 as of the 2078 census.

At the “National Census 2078” public program held in Kathmandu on Friday, Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal made the official announcement of the results of the most recent census in Nepal.

The preliminary figures released on Jan 26 indicated that Nepal had a population of 291 million 92 thousand 480.

However, the detailed and final report disclosed 27,902 less information.

The 12th Census of 2078 revealed that there were one crore 42 lakh 53 thousand 551 (48.98%) males and one crore 49 lakh 11 thousand 27 (51.02%) females in Nepal.

There are 2,0928 other genders in existence. This amounts to 0.001% of the total population.
