Veteran radio journalist Krishna Tamrakar passed away
She has an incomparable contribution in radio journalism.
KATHMANDU: Senior radio journalist Krishna Tamrakar passed away.
Tamrakar, 86, who worked as a news editor and newsreader in Radio Nepal, died last night while receiving treatment at Upendra Devkota Memorial, National Institute of Neurological and Allied Science in the Capital City, Tamrakar’s daughter Grishma Rajbhandari confirmed.
Tamrakar joined Radio Nepal in 2018 BS and remained employed there until 2049 BS. She hosted a variety of well-known programs for Radio Nepal, including Naso, Hamro Deshko Mato, Hamro Ban Hamro Jeevan, and others.
She has an incomparable contribution in radio journalism.
She continued to work in the social service, tourism, and bird conservation fields after she retired.
The late Tamrakar was committed to promoting social services by urging people to donate their eyes.
The family source stated that Tamrakar’s final rites would be performed today.
According to family sources, Tamrakar will be cremated today.
