UK Parliamentary Delegation visits NMB Bank
The main purpose of the visit is to observe the progress made following NMB Bank's collaboration with British International Investments and to learn more about NMB Bank's sustainable banking practices.

KATHMANDU: Representatives of the British House of Commons and members of British International Investment visited NMB Bank on March 14, 2023, led by Sarah Champion, Chair of British International Investment.
According to the bank, the main purpose of the visit is to observe the progress made following NMB Bank’s collaboration with British International Investments and to learn more about NMB Bank’s sustainable banking practices.
According to the bank, Sunil KC, Chief Executive Officer of NMB Bank, reviewed the bank’s progress after implementing sustainable banking practices to visiting representatives and highlighted the bank’s and the country’s significant contribution to achieving the sustainable development goals.
KC emphasized the importance and necessity of grants provided by organizations such as British International Investments during the discussion with the delegation in order to meet the needs of Nepal’s sustainable and inclusive economic development.
The bank’s contribution to community development through the hydropower project was also recognized by the representatives.
Representatives from both sides exchanged responses while discussing the bank’s initiatives for the empowerment of women and differently-abled people, as well as the bank’s contribution to the advancement of economically weak and backward groups.
