Couple underwent IVF treatment in Norvic gave birth to quadruplets in Australia
Aruna, 44, and Yogesh, 47, both from Australia, came to Nepal for treatment with the intention of having children.
KATHMANDU: Aruna Singh, who underwent treatment at Norvic International Hospital’s Norvic IVF Center, gave birth to a baby girl in Australia.
Aruna, 44, and Yogesh, 47, both from Australia, came to Nepal for treatment with the intention of having children.
They are Australian permanent residents and began treatment at Norvic IVF in Kathmandu.
Aruna, who got pregnant on the first try following treatment with medically assisted reproductive technology, underwent 14 weeks of treatment and consultation with Dr. Nutan Sharma, senior gynecology and test tube specialist and laparoscopic surgeon at Norvic IVF.
The Aruna couple decided to travel to Australia for the remaining pregnancy tests and further treatment because of the medical treatment, facilities, and support provided by the government there to its citizens.
Aruna and her husband Yogesh, who gave birth to four children at the Mater Mothers Hospital in South Brisbane, Australia, said the children’s health is normal. Three sons and a daughter who were born 11 weeks early are now being cared for by the hospital under close supervision.
According to Yogesh, because of the pre-matched delivery, the hospital was required to monitor and provide special care to the babies who were underweight.
This issue was also raised in Australia after the baby was born all at once. Along with this, Nepal’s Norvic International Hospital’s world-class treatment services are being lauded.
Lash Lab, a leading news portal that publishes news and articles about women’s lifestyles in Australia, has published an article titled ‘Welcome quadruplets, We Were Surprised,’ which presents the issue of Nepalese Aruna Singh and Yogesh giving birth to twins in Australia in an interesting way.
According to Yogesh, the online wrote – “The hospital initially told us there would be three children, but we were later surprised to learn there would be four. As it was unexpected and surprising for us.”
They have also named their children. Archie, Louis, and Eddie are the names of the three sons, while Anna is the name of the daughter.
Giving quadruplets birth is considered uncommon in Australia. According to the online, this is the first case of quadruplets among babies born in that hospital in the last four years.
