PM Dahal lays foundation stone for road upgradation project
During a ceremony in Bimire, Gorkha, he laid the foundation stone for the road upgrade.
KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ laid the foundation stone for the upgrading of the Panthadihi-Katahare-Harmi-Hua Sahiltar road in Lamjung, Gorkha.
Dr. Prachanda, a former Maoist, former Prime Minister, and leader of the Nepal Samajwadi Party from Gorkha, reached in Gorkha with Baburam Bhattarai and Deputy Prime Minister and Infrastructure and Transport Minister Narayan Kaji to lay the foundation stone for road improvements.
During a ceremony in Bimire, Gorkha, he laid the foundation stone for the road upgrade.
This road is in Prachanda constituency number 2 of Gorkha.
JV Maharajgunj has been awarded the contract to upgrade the Wood Hill-Lama road in 30 months.
A loan from the Indian Exim Bank is available for this road. The road will be improved at a cost of Rs 80 crore.
There are plans to widen the 20-kilometer-long road, construct drains and retaining walls, and cover it with black tarpaulin.
