Police & protestors clash in Biratnagar

BIRATNAGAR: Protesters and police clashed in Biratnagar after they objected to the naming of Koshi State.

Protesters in Biratnagar pelted stones and bottles at police in response to the naming of Koshi State, and officers responded with batons.

Protesters targeted and attacked police officers.

Currently, the police are firing a few rounds of tear gas.

At the moment, there is a clash between police and demonstrators at Biratnagar’s Mahendra Chowk.

Protesters threw bricks and bottles at police officers.

The police, according to the protestors, repressed the peaceful protest.
