PM’s Twitter account hacked!

KATHMANDU: The official Twitter account of the Prime Minister’s Office and the Council of Ministers has been hacked.

Last night, a hacker replaced Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal’s ‘Prachanda’ profile picture with the word BLUR.

The hacker also altered the Prime Minister’s Office profile, cover, and Pin Tweet.

For a few hours, the hacker took over the office’s official Twitter account. Hacker also retweeted a number of unnecessary tweets. Three different irrelevant tweets in the last 5, 3, and 2 hours have demonstrated this.

However, the Prime Minister’s Office currently controls his Twitter account. The Prime Minister’s Office has not issued an official statement on the matter.

Manhari Timalsina, the Prime Minister’s Press Specialist, has stated that he has learned that Twitter account has been hacked and is on his way to the office. He stated that the rest would be verified only after he arrived at the office.
