Nemwang as UML Parliamentary Party Deputy leader

KATHMANDU: Subas Chandra Nemwang, vice-president of the CPN-UML, has been named deputy leader of the parliamentary party.

KP Sharma Oli, the party’s chairperson, has nominated Nemwang as deputy leader.

Previously, the UML designated Nemwang as its presidential candidate. In the March 9 election, he was defeated by Ram Chandra Paudel.

Padam Giri and Mahesh Bartoula were named chief whips of the parliamentary party by Chair Oli earlier on Sunday.
