POKHARA: The Buddha Mandala will be built at a high cost in Pokhara.
The final design for the Dharmakaya Buddha Mandala in Pokhara 11 Kahundanda has been completed. Catherine, a Singaporean designer, created the design.
Mandala will be built on an area of approximately 178 ropani and is expected to cost more than 7 billion.
The mandala will depict all aspects of Buddhist life. A massive Buddha statue will also be constructed.
Dharapani Community Forest User Committee has given Mandala 170 ropani land.
According to the construction committee, the process for purchasing the remaining land has progressed, and 2 ropani land has been obtained through donation.
The mandala’s chief guardian is Sangpa Rinpoche.
