Death toll in Sindhuli bus accident hits six

KATHMANDU: Death toll in the Sindhuli bus accident has reached six. The identity of all the deceased is yet to be ascertained.

A passenger vehicle (Ba 2 Kha 6596) skidded off the road and crashed into the retaining wall at Kuivir of Phikal Rural Municipality-4 in Sindhuli district along the Mid-hill Highway today, killing six and injuring 29 others.

The ill-fated vehicle was headed to Kathmandu from Okhaldhunga.
The injured were rescued shortly and rushed to a community hospital in Golanjor Rural Municipality-7, said Dahal.
The driver of the vehicle is receiving treatment at a health facility in Ghurmi, and his condition is said to be normal.
