POKHARA: The schedule of the FSU elections has been impacted by the Prithvi Narayan Campus, the country’s largest campus.

There was a program for the registration of nomination papers for the March 19 election. However, the nomination could not be registered as the FSU election office’s lock was not opened.

The Maoist Centre All Revolutionary, Biplav close Akhil Revolutionary, Rastriya Janamorcha close Akhil sixth, and Akhil Revolutionary United all closed on Thursday, claiming that the staff had leaked the students’ personal information. According to reports, the lock was not opened because the students and the election committee could not reach an agreement.

The organizations have demanded action against the employees who leaked the details. Other organizations have alleged that the campus administration is in favor of not holding elections. They accused the administration of not facilitating them even though they were ready for nomination.

The ‘Swatantra Bidyarthi Group’ has also petitioned the Pokhara High Court, claiming that the registered name has been changed. The group, which was formed on March 3, renamed itself ‘Prithvi Bidyarthi Manch’ and published the final list.

Only two Pokhara campuses have filed nominations for the FSU elections. Nominations could not be registered on campuses other than Western Engineering and Nursing.
