Two children die as fire engulfs house in Udayapur

KATHMANDU: A fire in Rautamai Rural Municipality-8 of Udayapur killed two children from the same family.

According to District Police Office Udayapur, 6-year-old daughter Jasmin and 2-year-old son Rojan died in a fire at Ram Bahadur Burja Magar’s house.

According to police constable Shobha Karki, they died on the spot when the house caught fire due to a power outage on Friday evening.

She stated that no other family members were present at the time of the fire.

According to the police, the fire destroyed the house, crops, and clothing.
