KATHMANDU: The ruling coalition will meet to choose the vice president. This morning’s meeting will begin at 8:30 a.m.

Prakash Jwala, CPN (Unified Socialist) chief whip, has announced that a working group meeting with top leaders will be held at Singha Durbar.

The Janata Samajwadi Party has already decided to nominate Ram Sahay Prasad Yadav for vice president.

Similarly, the Janamat Party has decided to nominate Mamata Jha as Vice President. Similarly, the Nagarik Unmukti Party has decided to nominate Chair Ranjita Chaudhary as Vice President.

However, there is a requirement that a candidate for Vice President be 45 years old. As Chaudhary is only 39 years old, his youth is seen as an advantage for the Vice President.

The JSP, on the other hand, claimed that there was an agreement on the power coalition to give them the vice president, but the other ruling parties claimed that no decision had been made on who would be given the vice president.

The coalition is in disarray following the Election Commission’s decision that the Vice President cannot be a man. Today is the deadline for the nomination of candidates for the vice presidential election.
