Federal Civil Service Act to be brought in spirit of proportional and inclusiveness, assures Minister Modi
Minister Modi said, "I respect your concerns. I would like to assure you that attention will be fully paid on proportional and inclusiveness aspects as well while bringing forward the Act."
KATHMANDU: Minister for Federal Affairs and General Administration Aman Lal Modi pledged the visiting team of various Commissions that the Federal Civil Service Act will be brought forward incorporating the essence and sentiments (proportional and inclusiveness) of the Constitution.
In a meeting with the Heads of the three commissions- Indigenous Nationalities Commission, National Dalit Commission and Tharu Commission – here today, Minister Modi said, “I respect your concerns. I would like to assure you that attention will be fully paid on proportional and inclusiveness aspects as well while bringing forward the Act.”
Chairperson of Indigenous Nationalities Commission Ram Bahadur Thapa, National Dalit Commission Chairperson Devraj Bishwakarma and Tharu Commission Chairperson Bishnu Prasad Chaudhary called on Minister Modi at his office today.
During the meeting, the Heads of the three constitutional bodies had voiced their concerns about the Act and univocally urged the Minister to take into account proportional inclusiveness factor, according to Buddha Lopchan, press advisor of Minister Modi.
“We heard that you (to the Minister) are preparing to table the Federal Civil Service Act. Our special concern is that the Act should incorporate the essence and sentiments of proportional inclusiveness,” said Lopchan quoting Chairperson Thapa as saying.
Minister Modi has summoned the Heads of all constitutional commissions in the country at his office on Saturday morning at 11:00 to solicit suggestions on the Federal Civil Service Act.
