Wales’ Chris Gunter retires from international football

KATHMANDU: Chris Gunter, the Wales defender, has announced his retirement from international football.

Chris, a 33-year-old right back, announced his retirement from international football. Chris has made 109 appearances for Wales. Chris is the first player in Wales history to have 100 caps.

After forward Gareth Bale and Joe Allen, he is the third player to announce his retirement.

He was named to the Qatar World Cup squad.
