The Speaker congratulated the newly elected President Poudel and wished him a successful tenure during a meeting held on Friday morning at the President’s private residence, Bohoratar.
Speaker Ghimire announced that he will travel to Mana, Bahrain’s capital, on Friday evening to attend the 146th Inter-Legislative Union (IPU) conference.
President Poudel wished the visit success and recalled that when he was Speaker of the House in 1999, he established the Nepal-Japan Friendship Parliamentary League.
Speaker Ghimire has also stated that he will be unable to attend the President’s oath of office on the March 13 due to the IPU conference.
