Shree Airlines flights grounded until security checks

KATHMANDU: Shree Airlines will be unable to fly until the engine safety inspection is completed.

Shree Airlines has been grounded by the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) until the engine safety check is completed.

Shree Airlines will cease operations as of today.

The aircraft’s engine will be examined to determine whether it is fit for flight. If they pass the test and are found to be qualified, the CAAN will grant them permission to fly.

The plane that took off from Kathmandu to Bhairahawa caught fire on Thursday, and the plane was returned to Tribhuvan International Airport for an emergency landing. Shree Airlines operates eight planes.
