Counting of federal & state parliaments to be done separately, results to be published by 7 pm

KATHMANDU: The counting of votes in the ongoing presidential election will begin soon.

The votes of MPs from the Federal Parliament (House of Representatives and National Assembly) and the State Assembly will be counted separately.

Following a meeting with the presidential candidates, the Election Commission made this decision.

The voting will begin at 4:00 p.m., according to Amrita Kumari Sharma, Assistant Election Officer of the Presidential Election Office, and the final results will be announced at 7:00 p.m.
