Candidate Ram Chandra Poudel casts vote

KATHMANDU: Voting for the election of Nepal’s third president has begun. Voting has begun at Parliament House in New Baneshwor.

Nepali Congress leader Ram Chandra Poudel and CPN-UML vice-chair Subas Nemwang are candidates for the presidential election.

Candidate Ram Chandra Poudel has already voted after reaching at the polling station before the polls opened.

Election Officer Mahesh Sharma Poudel has informed that the counting of votes will begin as soon as the elections are completed, and the results will be announced by 7 p.m. today.
