Presidential election taking place today, result to be announced by 7 pm

KATHMANDU: All preparations for the election of the country’s new president have been completed.
The technical, manpower, and other managerial preparations for the voting in the Lhotse Hall of the Parliament House in New Baneshwor have been completed.

The polling station was built by a team of polling officers, according to Electoral Officer Mahesh Sharma Poudel.
Voting will take place from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Several polling stations have been set up to ensure that the election is clean, free, fair, and orderly.
There are 332 federal parliament members and 550 state assembly members running in the Presidential election.
Separate voting lines have been set up for men and women. In order to organize the election, a location with various tents for voters and media workers to rest has been set up.
In the election, one vote for a federal parliamentarian equals 79 votes, while one vote for a state assembly member equals 48 votes. Keshav Paudel, Deputy Registrar of High Court Patan, and Loknath Parajuli, Deputy Registrar of Supreme Court, have been assigned to federal MP polling stations for the election.
Senior Nepali Congress leader Ram Chandra Paudel and Vice Chair Subas Chandra Nemwang are CPN UML candidates in the presidential election as joint candidates from the nine-party alliance.
For the overall election, Ramesh Ukhtar on behalf of Paudel and Mahesh Bartaula on behalf of Nemwang are as representatives.
Amrita Kumari Sharma, Assistant Election Officer, stated that plans have been made to begin the vote counting process after voting concludes at 3:00 PM and to announce the results by 7:00 PM.
All of the States’ parliamentarians have already arrived in Kathmandu to vote in the election.
