HBL & SCT collaborate to make smart QR payments via HI-MB mobile banking app

KATHMANDU: SmartChoice Technologies Limited and Himalayan Bank have signed an agreement for the operation of payment services via Smart QR, which has received permission from Nepal Rastra Bank to operate the payment system.

Users of the mobile banking app HI-MB can now easily pay for goods and services at Smart QR-enabled merchants such as Bhat-Bhateni Supermarket, Big Mart, Express Mart, Kirana (shop), and Big Digital.

Similarly, Himalayan Bank merchants will be able to accept payments from customers of banks and financial institutions that are linked to Smart QR.

As payment and payment of transactions are done through financial switch issued in EMV standard, making and receiving payment through Smart QR remains easy, safe and reliable.

It is hoped that this agreement between SmartChoice Technologies, which has been providing quality digital payment services for the past 20 years, and National Commercial Bank, which has been customers’ first choice since its inception, will benefit the field of digital payments in Nepal as a whole.

Following this agreement, National Commercial Bank customers will be able to use the SCT UPI Debit Card in a modern, safe, high-quality, and dependable manner.

Customers can also easily obtain services such as ATM, POS, and e-commerce in Nepal and India by using the SCT UPI network.
