MCC progressed: Land acquisition in Dhading, Palpa & Tanahun
A notice has been issued to acquire the land required for the project in order to build the foundation of the power transmission line tower within these three districts.
KATHMANDU: The notice of initial action for land acquisition in Palpa, Tanahun, and Dhading for the Nepal Government and Millennium Challenge Account Nepal Development Committee (MCA-Nepal) electricity transmission project has been published.
A notice has been issued to acquire the land required for the project in order to build the foundation of the power transmission line tower within these three districts.
This preliminary action notice has been published in accordance with Section 6 (1) of the Land Acquisition Act, 2034 in order to acquire lands belonging to various municipalities, rural municipalities, and wards.
According to the Land Acquisition Act of 2034, once the land required for the project is acquired, a team of technicians will be deployed in that area three days after the notification is issued in accordance with sub-section 2 of this section for the purpose of measuring the land, surveying, separating the wells, and burying the fort.
According to section 13 of the same Act, the first meeting of the Compensation Determination Committee, chaired by the Chief District Officer of Dhading, Palpa, and Tanahun districts, has decided to take preliminary action and proceed with the land acquisition.
