KATHMANDU Not only Nepalese but also foreign tourists are celebrating Holi in a festive atmosphere during the Phagu festival (Holi) celebrated in Nepal.

Foreign tourists appear to enjoy playing Holi, particularly in tourist areas of Nepal such as Kathmandu, Pokhara, and Dharan.

Holi is traditionally celebrated on Monday in Nepal’s mountainous region and on Tuesday in the Terai region.

Similarly, Holi is traditionally celebrated on Monday in India.

Apart from Indians who have recently visited Nepal, tourists from Western and other Asian countries also take part in this festival, which is especially celebrated in Nepal and India.
