KATHMANDU: Machhapuchchhre Bank Limited and SmartChoice have entered into a technology agreement.
The two companies have signed an agreement to operate payment services via smart QR on Remitap wallet.
The agreement letter was signed by Narayan Prakash Bhuju, Chief Executive Officer of SmartChoice Technologies Limited, and Sarju Kumar Thapa, Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Machhapuchchhre Bank.
It is hoped that this collaboration between SmartChoice Technologies, which has been providing various card and payment services for the past 20 years, and Remitap Wallet, which is popular among Nepali wallet users, will help to further the country’s overall economic development.
Following the signing of the agreement, Remitap users will be able to pay smart QR merchants using Remitap.
Payment and payment through Smart QR will be easy, safe, and reliable, according to the company, as payment and settlement of transactions will be done through financial switches issued in EMV standard.
