Maoists are ready to give CM Shah a vote of confidence following Prachanda’s instructions

KATHMANDU: Kamal Bahadur Shah, the Chief Minister of Sudurpaschim, will receive a vote of confidence from the CPN-Maoist Centre.

Prachanda had instructed Khagraj Bhatt, leader of the Far West Parliamentary Party, to give Chief Minister Shah a vote of confidence over the phone.
Today, Sudurpaschim State Chief Minister Shah will seek a vote of confidence from the provincial assembly. The Chief Minister has called a State Assembly meeting for 1 p.m. on Sunday to take a vote of confidence.
The support of 27 MPs is required to pass a vote of confidence in the 53-member provincial assembly. In the State Assembly, there are 19 MPs from Nepali Congress, 10 from the Maoist Center, 10 from CPN-UML, 7 from Nagarik Unmukti Party, 4 from CPN Unified Socialist Party, 1 from Rastriya Prajatantra Party and 1 independent.
The Maoist Centre has yet to make a formal decision.
