Greater Nepal sought the reason why Sugauli Treaty still exists

KATHMANDU: The Greater Nepal Nationalist Front has investigated why the Sugauli Treaty is still in effect.

The Morcha wrote to Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ asking why he was still accepting the canceled Sugauli Treaty.

The team, led by Phanindra Nepal, Chair of Greater Nepal, submitted a memorandum to Prime Minister Prachanda, chastising the heads of SAARC member states.

It has also been questioned whether there is a hidden reason for signing the treaty’s annulment while remaining inactive in practice.
