Shahid Smarak A Division League begins today (photos included)

KATHMANDU: The 46th Shahid Smarak A Division League football tournament began today.

In a ceremony at Dashrath Stadium, Kathmandu Metropolitan City Mayor Balendra Shah formally inaugurated the competition.

The league will feature 182 matches, with 14 clubs from the A division participating.

The league will be played in a round-robin format.

The league will be held at Dashrath Stadium, ANFA Complex, and Chyasal Ground this time.

This time, the league winner will receive Rs 75 lakh, second place will receive Rs 50 lakh, and third place will receive Rs 25 lakh. Similarly, the Fair Play team will receive 3 lakh rupees.

The first game of the day is between FC Khumaltar and Friends Club.
