PNG set Nepal a target of 180 runs

KATHMANDU: Nepal has got a target of 180 runs to win against PNG in the triangular series under ICC World Cup League 2 in UAE.

Openers Tony Ura scored 39 runs and Kiplin Doriga scored 26 runs for PNG. Doriga was dismissed lbw by Sandeep Lamichhane when Ura was caught by Sompal Kami.
When Asif Shaikh ran out Sese Bau for 11 runs, captain Assad Vala was dismissed LBW by Kushal Malla.
Dipendra Singh Airee, with the help of Karan KC, ran out Chad Soper for 9 runs as the sixth wicket. Before that, Dipendra himself bowled Gowdy Toka for 15 runs as the fifth wicket.
Similarly, Sompal Kami bowled Riley Hekure for 9 runs and Karan KC bowled Norman Vanua for 14 runs.
Sompal Kami and Dipendra Singh Airee took 2 wickets each for Nepal. Karan KC, Sandeep Lamichhane and Kushal Malla took 1 wicket each.
Aasif, Dipendra-Karan and Sandeep ran out 3 batsmen of PNG by Nepal.
Nepal defeated PNG in the first match of the series and lost to the home team UAE in the second match on Thursday.
Nepal will play the final match of the series against the UAE on Monday. The final League-2 series match between these three teams will be held in Nepal on March 9.
