Nepali U-19 team, secured a place in World Cup, is returning home

KATHMANDU: The Nepali U-19 cricket team is returning home today.

The Nepali team will return to the country today after qualifying for the U19 World Cup, which will be held in Sri Lanka next year.

The Nepali team is expected to arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport at 6 p.m.

Nepal confirmed its place in the U-19 World Cup after an 8-year absence by defeating UAE by 7 runs on Thursday.

Meanwhile, the Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) has announced that each member of Nepal’s U-19 cricket team who qualified for the World Cup will receive a one lakh rupee cash prize.

After an eight-year wait, Nepal’s U-19 team qualified for the World Cup by defeating the UAE.

CAN has also requested the government to give due respect.
