KATHMANDU: Pradeep Poudel, Parliamentarian of Kathmandu Parliamentary Constituency No. 5, and central member of Nepali Congress, met with Mayor Balen Shah of Kathmandu Metropolitan City.

Leader Poudel stated at the meeting that it was agreed to move forward with mutual coordination, cooperation, and cooperation between the association and the local government for the development of Kathmandu Metropolitan and Constituency No. 5.

He also stated that an agreement has been reached on seven points for the development, expansion, and improvement of infrastructure, including road expansion, cultural heritage and heritage protection, drinking water, and sewerage.

Here are the 7 agreed points for cooperation

1. Taking the necessary initiatives and cooperation to speed up the extension of the Ring Road from Kalanki to Dhobi River.
2. Coordinating to build the Samakhusi corridor and proceeding with the construction work in an orderly manner.
3. To extend the Melamchi drinking water supply to all the houses in the metropolis, provide the necessary support and cooperation to expand the network quickly.
4. To develop Handi village as a cultural city, to protect the art and culture in this area, and to make physical development only by reflecting the original identity in the development work.
5. To find a suitable solution to the annual problem of flooding and water stagnation in the Dhumbarahi area as soon as possible.
6. Due to the overflow of the water of Tukucha River and proper management for sewage disposal in Lazimpat and other areas where there is sewage problem.
7. To take collective action to bring back encroachment of public land and to protect it.
