He stated that the constitution designates the president as the constitution's guardian and protector.

KATHMANDU: Senior Congress leader Ram Chandra Poudel, the common presidential candidate of eight parties including the Nepali Congress, stated that because the constitution aims to move towards socialism based on democracy, it will help everyone maintain ideological national unity.
He stated that the constitution designates the president as the constitution’s guardian and protector.
He stated that he contributed to the creation of the constitution by speaking with all tribals, Muslims, Tharu, women, and others.
“Because I have experienced the constitution in depth, I will not allow this constitution to be at the bottom,” he said. He said that he will work to protect the rights given by the constitution to everyone based on the principle of proportional inclusion. There are hardly any other countries in the world that have a constitution that includes everyone like Nepal, which is the best in South Asia. We cannot envisage a better constitution as an alternative to this constitution. This constitution has given the status to Nepal and Nepalese people. The constitution that provides such a status is very excellent.’
He also said that if he were the president, he would be able to give appropriate suggestions and advice to the government for economic and social prosperity, but he also promised not to interfere.
