KATHMANDU: The Presidential Election Mobilization and Coordinating Mechanism of the Eight-Party Alliance is conducting an orientation program to urge senior Congress leader Ram Chandra Paudel, who is the common candidate of the eight-party alliance for the presidency, to cast his vote.

The event began at 1 p.m. in Tinkune, Kathmandu. Top party leaders, including CPN Maoist Centre Chair Pushpa Kakmal Dahal ‘Prachanda,’ who is also Prime Minister, were present at the ‘Orientation organized for members of the House of Representatives and National Assembly’ program.

The program featured Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba, CPN-S Chair Madhav Kumar Nepal, presidential candidate Ram Chandra Poudel, and eight party leaders and MPs.

In the program, presidential candidate Poudel asks all MPs to vote for him and distributes a letter to them.

There is a program in which the party leaders must declare their commitment to meeting Ram Chandra.
