KATHMANDU: Nepali National Cricket is playing the second match of a triangular series against the UAE and Papua New Guinea as part of the ICC World Cup League Two.

Nepal will play the second match of this series against the UAE today. The game will begin at 11:45 p.m. Nepali time.

Nepal already played Papua New Guinea in this series under the ICC World Cup League Two on February 27 and won by four wickets. Similarly, in the second match of this series, Papua New Guinea defeated UAE.

Nepal has included Sandeep Lamichhane in the team after Shyam Dhakal (Mausam) was injured. Today, they face the UAE, Papua New Guinea on March 3, and the UAE on March 6. Following that, Nepal will face Papua New Guinea on March 9 at the TU Cricket Ground. They will compete against the United Arab Emirates on March 12, Papua New Guinea on March 13, and the United Arab Emirates on March 16.

Nepal is currently in the sixth position in the ICC World Cup League Two with 28 points from 29 matches with 13 wins and 14 losses. If Nepal remains in the top five, it will be granted ODI status.

If Nepal finishes in the top five of League-2 and does not receive ODI recognition directly, it will have one last chance in the qualifier play-off.
