Machhindra clinches Satdobato to win KP Oli Cup title (photos included)

KATHMANDU: Machhindra Football Club has won the KP Oli Cup, which is currently being held in Kathmandu.

Machhindra won the championship after defeating rival Satdobato Youth Club in a penalty shootout today (Wednesday) at Dasharath Stadium.

The match was decided by penalty shootout after both teams tied 1-1 in the scheduled 90 minutes. Ranjit Dhimal, Diwakar Chaudhary, Sujal Shrestha, Pujan Uparkoti and Kareem Omolaja Nurain scored on behalf of Machhindra Club in the penalty shootout.

Goals were scored for Satdobato by Neeraj Chaudhary, Dipenraj Singh, and Ekraj Budhathoki.

Machhindra won 10 million in cash and the trophy as a result of his victory.

Satdobato, the runner-up, received a cash prize of 5 million as well as a trophy.
