Proposals tabled in SA to keep the name of State 1 ‘Koshi’

BIRATNAGAR: Speaker of State 1, Baburam Gautam, has stated that if the province is unable to name the name in time, the issue of federalism will be raised.

He told House that he is confident that the State will be named during the 13th meeting of the first session of the National Assembly.
UML’s Ram Bahadur Magar proposed the name of the state and stated that Koshi will connect everyone. He claims that Koshi covers culture from birth to death.
“In the last 5 years, we could not name the State, he said, out of the various options, I have brought it as a proposal as it is a name that people can digest and hang on the tongue.” Tabled the proposed proposal.
He added that since the name is a concern of all and a common subject, it should be brought in such a way as to include everyone. The discussion on the proposal will now begin. He urged not to understand Kirant and Limbuwan as caste.
“Although Kiranti and Limbu are castes, Kirant and Limbuvan are not caste, he said, Kirant and Limbuvan are civilizations.”
