CIB submits investigation report of Prithvi Bahadur Shah to public prosecutor

KATHMANDU: The Nepal Police Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) has submitted the investigation report in the case of Prithvi Bahadur Shah of Achham bringing money from the US to Nepal suspiciously to the public prosecutor’s office.

Today, CIB will hold a press conference to discuss this.

The police detained Shah on Jan 6 after discovering that he had brought in 69,35,960,44 from America in 5 years and that the amount was suspicious.

According to the report, the group, which included Shah, defrauded the majority of elderly Americans and brought millions of dollars to Nepal.

During the statement, Shah admitted to illegally bringing money from America.

He also claims to have received funds to assist tourists visiting Nepal.
