Proposal to name State 1 ‘Koshi’ been registered, NC’ backing for UML’s proposal

KATHMANDU: A proposal has been registered in the Secretariat of the State Assembly to keep the name of State 1 in Koshi.

CPN-UML MP Ram Bahadur Rana’s proposal is supported by Bhumi Prasad Rajbanshi of Nepali Congress.

The proposal related to sub-section 2 of article 295 of the constitution and sub-rule (b) 1 of sub-rule (b) 1 of paragraph 10 rule 58 of the State 1 State Assembly (First Amendment) Regulations, 2075 has been registered in the secretariat.

In order to fulfill the obligation of the province to name itself from the State Assembly, Hinduism, philosophy of Buddhism, Kirant civilization, Mithila civilization, Limbuwan culture, history of the vast region, Koch culture and culture developed in this State, and the Koshi river and its branches are historical, religious and caste, language, civilization and culture have developed as the basic foundation of this region, from the mountains to the mountains and plains, and the current and future development and prosperity of the whole situation within the area of ​​the Koshi river flow is connected, so it would be appropriate to name this state as Koshi State,’ in mentioned in the proposal.
