State-1: Security beefed up outside the State Assembly building
Outside, security has been increased as the proposal to rename State 1 is set to be submitted to the State Assembly.
KATHMANDU: The security arrangements have been tightened after the issue of the name of State 1 has been admitted to the State Assembly.

State 1 was unable to obtain a name due to a disagreement over whether to keep the State’s name based on ethnic identity or river and geography.
Outside, security has been increased as the proposal to rename State 1 is set to be submitted to the State Assembly.
The security situation has been tightened as a protest is possible if the issue of name is allowed in the State Assembly.
Morang Police reported that security has been tightened from the Biratnagar entry point.
The state assembly building’s entrance has also been reinforced.
Personal representatives of the State Assembly are not permitted to enter. All parties have agreed to keep the name Koshi for State 1.
