Morocco & PSG defender Hakimi been charged with rape
A Moroccan defender has been charged with raping a 24-year-old woman.
KATHMANDU: French club Paris Saint Germain (PSG) defender Achraf Hakimi has been accused of rape.
A Moroccan defender has been charged with raping a 24-year-old woman.
The woman has alleged that Hakimi sexually assaulted her at his home in the French capital on Feb 25.
The woman reported the incident to the police station on Sunday, according to the BBC, but no charges were filed.
However, the police have launched a preliminary investigation into Hakimi’s allegations.
Hakimi, was born in Spain, was a key player as Morocco made history by reaching the World Cup semi-finals in Qatar. Morocco was also the first African team to reach the World Cup semi-finals.
PSG and Hakimi have yet to respond to the accusations.
