KATHMANDU: Scotland sets a target of 213 runs for Nepal in the final match of the triangular series under ICC Cricket World Cup League Two on Tuesday.

Sandeep Lamichhane took four wickets for 45 runs in ten overs for Nepal. While Karan KC took three wickets, Kushal Malla and Lalit Narayan Rajbanshi each took one.

Nepal is preparing to win the series for the fourth time in a row. Nepal has won the first three games of the series.

Nepal defeated Scotland by three wickets on Friday. Similarly, Nepal defeated Namibia twice.

Scotland, the World Cup League Two winner, also wants to end the League Two happily by defeating Nepal.

This is Scotland’s final World Cup League Two match since 2019. Scotland, who won League Two with three games to spare, will receive the trophy following their match against Nepal.

If Nepal defeats Scotland on Tuesday, it will have won four consecutive one-day matches for the first time in its history. Similarly, Nepal will become the first team in World Cup League Two history to defeat Scotland in two consecutive games.

Nepal is sixth in the standings with 24 points from 11 wins and 14 losses in 27 matches. Nepal’s one-day international status will be maintained if they win at least six of the remaining nine matches.

Nepal must win all of its matches in order to qualify for the World Cup by finishing in the top three.

Scotland leads the way with 50 points from 35 matches, including 24 wins and 9 losses.
